Clubhouse
 Our newly extended Clubhouse is now completed. With the extension we can now accommodate up to 120 seated guests with over 150 for a reception. Views over the course can now be enjoyed from the newly built balcony. We had a fantastic time in our brief visit to this hotel. We booked at the very last minute, and we're a bit apprehensive that we had not had time for our usual careful research. However, we needn't have worried. We asked for and were given a room with a balcony and a lake view. It was spacious and quiet, with a reasonable sized bathroom. We took afternoon tea in the oak-pannelled lounge. Having left our young children in the care of older siblings and grandparent, we were able to experience the unaccustomed luxury of a thorough read-through the Sunday papers. A relaxing bath before dinner was followed by aperitifs in the lounge. Dinner was served in the lakeview restaurant. We ate a la carte, Three courses including wine and coffee worked out at £40 a head. Food was generally excellent: Plump Guinea-Fowl, succulent beef fillet and plenty of interesting vegetables. Only slight disappointment was the dessert - a rather dull assortment of tarts & cheesecakes. Service throughout was quiet, efficient and non-intrusive. Our bed was comfortable, and breakfast the following morning plentiful and tasty. Overall a brilliant choice, and excellent value for money.

The rooms with lake view were fantastic. I cant believe its only three star.
The evening meal was absolutely superb, as was the attentive and professinal service.
I wil definataly revisit at some time with friends.
Very central for Oxford - London etc.

9/10 "I am a secretary filling this in on behalf of my colleagues. At first they complained it was a distance from where they originally wanted to be (Basildon Park) but after staying at the hotel they were extremely pleased and would stay again. I booked the hotel because of its river setting ambiance.

9/10 "Choosing one hotel to look after four disparate groups attending a family wedding is not easy. A couple in their 70s, a single mother with two teenage daughters, a couple with two sons and a couple with a baby and a four year old. The Springs Hotel met all of their needs perfectly. Particular mention should be made of the friendly and helpful staff who ensured that all of their needs were met. Thanks, from the Bride and Groom who made the difficult choice of where the groom's family should stay!"

High Speed Internet Access
High Speed Internet Access is now available from all hotel bedrooms and meeting rooms. Remote access is also available from public areas. In addition The Springs have installed a PC in the lounge for personal use to all hotel guests. There is no charge for this service
