Pro Shop Gets a makeover!
You may notice a change in the Pro Shop of late. Not only is there a new customer friendly lay out but also some interesting new additions to the stock.

David Boyce, our Club Professional who has recently taken over the franchise of the Pro Shop said
"I am happy with the way the shop is starting to look, the comments have been very positive from everyone. Hopefully in the not too distant future people will start to support us a little bit more. We are striving for the best service to our customers, but we are price conscious also. Therefore we make regular checks on our prices to make sure we are extremely competitive".

So give the Pro Shop a visit, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Clubhouse Improvements at The Springs

The clubhouse refurbishment is complete and we now have much improved facilities for members and visitors.

The major changes are:-
„« an extension of the main entrance and the relocation of the impressive staircase;
„« the construction of a balcony overlooking the 18th green that gives access to a new upstairs spike bar;
„« increased floor space both upstairs and down;
„« bigger locker rooms and wash facilities for ladies;
„« a new and bigger bar; and
„« new furnishings.

Direct Debit for Annual Subscriptions
Have you considered spreading the cost of membership? By opting for a direct debit, you will pay 12 equal monthly instalments. To cover administration and interest, there is a 5% surcharge for this service.
If you want to pay by direct debit, contact Dave Allen by emailing golfclub@thespringshotel.com and he will email you a direct debit mandate.

On-Line Tee Bookings Now Available
Members and visitors can now book their tee times from the comfort of their own home 24 hours a day over the internet. It's so simple. Just go to www.thespringshotel.com, enter the Golf Club site and click on 'Book a Tee Time'.
The first time accessing the service, you will be required to register and then you can access the Club's On-Line Tee Booking system.

Member's Loyalty Cards
All members should have a Club Loyalty Card. If you haven’t got one, you should contact Dave Allen, the Club Secretary, without delay and he will issue you with one.
Please remeber that to benefit from bar discounts, your card must have credit on it. This is very simple to achieve. Just go to the bar or Pro Shop and ask them to top your card up using cash, cheque or credit card. Also remember that this must be done in multiples of £25.
Some members have opted for the Direct Debit option. These members will have a credit limit on their account and any purchases made during the month will be called down from their bank account at the end of each month. If you want to change to the DD option, please ask Dave Allen for a form. It will take a short while to set up and while this is being done, you just carry on using the Top- Up method.
Unlike a good number of golf clubs, our scheme is voluntary. You don’t have to use the Loyalty Card if you don’t want to. However, please do remember that without it you will not receive bar discounts.

Annual Subscriptions for Juniors
The Trustees have confirmed that Junior's annual subscriptions for 2006 will remain at £110. Remember that £10 of this goes toward junior coaching.
Junior members under the age of 14 who have a parent or grandparent as a member pay no annual subscriptions. They must however be accompanied when playing by a person of at least 14 years of age.
